Death awaits me at the door
Calling my name
It wants nothing more
Than to taste my defeat
Revel in my pain
Trying to convince me
To go insane

Holding the knife the thoughts swirl in my mind
Slowly seducing me
To leave it all behind
Disguising itself as an innocent tool
Sleek and sharp, shiny and strong
Showing me only
What it wants me to see

The knife glints in the sunshine
Streaming in the windows
The world goes on, I'm left behind
In a sea of darkness
The blade touches my skin
A drop of deep red
Staining my sorrows

I slowly lose blood
I'm getting sleepy
Now I'll just lie down
Tired and weepy
Lost to seduction
Death has its prey
And so ends just another day
