Hope springs eternal
Or so they say
It rises anew
With each passing day

Does hope never die?
The question lies waiting
Or does it only suffer
Weakening. Fading.

Hope springs eternal
Does the cliche ring true?
Does it lose its meaning
When the hopeless is you?

Hope and faith
Linked forever as one
Waxing and waning
Like the moon and the sun

If hope is lost
Is faith lost as well
Or does faith go on
Will God ever tell?

No faith must continue
Though hope is gone
For life without faith
Ceases to go on.
