Well, Johnathan had his hernia repair surgery today. He did incredibly well!! My strong little man! The surgeon, Dr. Kimberly Molik, said he took the mask and put it on himself in the OR! Leave it to my guy-Mr. Independent. When he came out from under the anesthesia, he was not happy, was crying and just didn't want to be held, didn't want to be put down, was very confused, just didn't know what he wanted. The Recovery Room nurse gave him a milligram of morphine, and that hit him and he settled in and went to sleep. When he came back around from that, he was in a much better mood!! We watched cartoons for a while in the hospital and were home by 11 AM! He got some Tylenol with codeine, went back to sleep and slept for several hours. Then, he got up, we watched Madagascar and he hung out a little, and went back to bed! He has complained of his incision site hurting, but that's all. I think he's doing very, very well.
Mom was hospitalized Monday evening for her heart. Yesterday morning, they did a cath adn she was given a stent in her heart where her bypass was. Then today they went back into her leg arteries and did something to one of them. They are blocked 70%. So, she's not feeling real well, but seems to be handling things alright.
Finally, we are trying to buy a house. It's a beautiful house in College Hill. Needs some updating, but all in all, not too bad. I hope we are able to get financing together for it!!
